What I ate Wednesday
Haha, I'm back! I told you I would be and for once I didn't turn out to be lying. Yay! Now, a few months back the awesome team of Heidi and Justin over at Raw Food, Right Now started a regular post called 'What we ate Wednesdays.' They haven't done it for a while, though I know they're very busy people and I certainly understand not having time to post, lol! :-) But in an effort to post at least once a week, I have decided to introduce 'what I ate wednesday' to this blog, starting with yesterday:

Green Smoothie of 2 bananas, 2 pears, parsley, silverbeet and water.
3 Lady William Apples
Another green smoothie, of rainbow chard, 2 kiwi fruit, a banana and water.
Another green smoothie, with beet leaves, kale, water, 1/2 a medjool date and 4 bananas (yum - the best one of the day. They were all great though!)

Massive kale salad (as you can see, it barely fitted in the bowl!) This is modelled on the the recipe in Alissa Cohen's 'Living on Live Food' book and consists of kale (about 1 1/2 bunches), 1 avocado, 3 large sticks of celery, juice of half a lemon and a load of littlish tomatoes (about 6 I think.) YUM!

In case you're wondering, everything I ate was organic. I also have two yummy pictures to share with you from Tuesday. For dinner I had a banana split and it was SO GOOD! (Lean back now, to prevent drool damage to your keyboard!)

And I thought I'd include this, even though it's a bit blurry, to show how stunningly creamy and delicious my banana ice cream was as I whipped it up in the food processor. Yum.

Have a fabulous day everyone!!

I could eat that salad right now! It looks really good and makes me crave celery, of all things! And that ice cream looks amazing. Is the recipe on your recipes page? I'm off to look for it right now. =)

Hey Bazu, mmm the salad was super yum! Oh and the ice-cream... you won't find a recipe, cos there isn't really one. That was just 5 bananas, frozen for about 8 hours, allowed to defrost for about 4-5 minutes then zipped up in the food processor. It takes a few minutes of blending but eventually you get that perfect creamy ice cream. YUm!
